Everyone has a different idea when it comes to their patios and decks.  Some like them with railings, others want levels to sort of separate the different spaces, while others are looking to even add on a roof to their outdoor space.  Whatever look you are going for, be sure that you describe it to your decks’ contractor.  They need to know what you like, so they can draw that up for you and get started on your outdoor investment.

While descriptions are great, there are also great ideas on the internet.  If you have found some ideas there, be sure to save them in a folder.  This will show the designers and builders exactly what you mean.  Every little detail is important.  For example, some would like to have an outdoor kitchen bar at one end with a kitchen on the other.  Others want to combine the kitchen and bar features and have a seating and living area on the other side.  Some like the separate areas to have a step or be a different height to separate the areas.  Others will use rugs and seating arrangements to separate.  You can change it out better with the second choice but it is completely up to you.
